The Ōtawara Institute of Art Cultural Studies (Japan) and Les Ateliers d’Artistes de Belleville (AAB) began their artistic collaboration in 2017. Since then, the partnership has flourished through numerous projects, including creative residencies in Japan followed by exhibitions, the “Geta Box” showcases, and various group shows in Paris.

The Institute is notably dedicated to sculpture hosting the Nasunogahara International Arts Symposium and offers a breathtaking workspace immersed in the Japanese countryside.

For this exhibition, we are pleased to welcome seven artists whose work focuses primarily on three-dimensional art. Their practice reflects a profound connection to the natural world, which serves as an inventive and prolific source of inspiration.

This spirit is perfectly captured by the title of an artwork by Kodai Hihara, written like a haiku: “A story, like catching a cloud.”

Exhibitors :
