Colette Billaud sculptor artist1972-85 The human body was its center of investigation. She express it through drawing, modeling, photography, then, by body art performances, duringher studies in Angers, Londres and Paris. 1985-87 The years of experiences at the LEM, (Laboratory of Movment Study) at Jacques Lecoq school in Paris, determined her artistic research by means of wood structures becoming the extension of the body in motion. Since 1993, she create mobiles or fixe structures from wooden chopsticks, plexiglas, piano rope. She question the notion of balance on ground, in suspension, on wall. Thes structures tension draw lines in space, play with void, air, transparency, shadows and light, as well as color. 2016, 2019 Scale change. Creation of larges mobile structures ordered by collectors. One was exhibit at the Gautier Collection in Cachan Orangerie, another was created for the Salon of Réalités Nouvelles in Paris. This year, a different look… Between mobiles structures and drawings.
