French-American artist Emilie navigates between two worlds: graphic design, where she built her career, and painting, which she kept in quiet balance for many years. A graduate of the École de Communication Visuelle in Paris (2006), she honed her eye through the precision of design before allowing her painter’s gesture to unfold freely.

Her work reflects this duality — a dialogue between control and instinct, structure and spontaneity. Inspired by nature and raw emotion, she explores the tensions and harmonies that shape our connection to the world. While she now draws inspiration from the Oise region, Belleville remains a deep-rooted anchor: it’s where she grew up, where her family still lives, and where she returns to exhibit with heartfelt attachment.

She opens the door once again to her creative universe, through this new edition of the Portes Ouvertes des Ateliers de Belleville.
